Albert Mansour, Jr Obituary

Westerville-

Albert J. Mansour, Jr., 65, of Westerville, OH died Tuesday August 3, 2021 after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his loving parents, Albert Mansour, Sr. and Marie (Haddad) Mansour of Youngstown, and his beloved niece Tayler Hudak. He is survived by his siblings Gina Hudak of CA, John Mansour (Liz) of SC, Betsy Nealon (Mike) of TN, Theresa Mansour of Youngstown, and Judith Mansour (Tom Suhadolnik) of Cleveland, as well as his nieces Sarah Lane of NV, Ashley Nealon of TN, his aunt Sandra Mansour of Youngstown, his great nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

Albert was a 1974 graduate of Ursuline High School, after which he worked for a short time at Sharon Steel, then at Ohio Wine Shop in downtown Youngstown, where he made many friends and was a bit of a fixture. Always industrious, Albert washed and waxed cars for many of downtown Youngstown’s shop owners and patrons. He was known for making cars “glimmer,” including his own cars, in which he took great pride.

Later, he made his home in Westerville, OH, where he moved the family business, Aluma Clean Company, in 1986.  He was a long-time member of St. Paul’s parish, where he joined the Knights of Columbus in 2011 and earned Fourth Degree Knight. He derived great joy from volunteering at pancake breakfasts, car washes, and in particular, helping elderly friends with home repairs. An expert painter and finish worker, Al was the go-to guy for many realtors of his acquaintance. He was known for his fastidious finish work, his love of kids, and his devotion to the Blessed Mother. He attended Mass every morning, followed by coffee with fellow parishioners.

Known for his quick, dry wit, generous and giving spirit, culinary talent, loyalty to those he loved, and the most spirited conversationalist at family gatherings, Albert will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.

Friends may call Sunday August 8, 2021, 2-4pm at Shriver-Alison-Courtley-Weller-King at 292 Madison Avenue, Youngstown, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Columba Cathedral at 10:00am Monday, August 9, 2021.
