Donald Beam Obituary

Poland-

On Tuesday, May 10th, 2022 with his wife, Sandy and faithful Dog, Buddy Beam by his side Donald D Beam passed away peacefully at home under the watchful eyes of his brothers.

The son of Barney and Loretta Beam, Donny began an amazing journey June 10, 1951 in Youngstown, OH

Blessed with a great life, always positive even while battling multiple health issues for more than eleven years.

An avid outdoorsman he grew up hunting and fishing with his father and older brother, Jim Beam, at a very young age.  He continued hunting with Jim up until last year.

He enjoyed the game of golf with all three brothers known as the Beam Team.

Don graduated from Chaney High School in 1969. He served two years in the Air Force Reserve. He worked at US Steel as a Crane operator in his early 20's.  Afterwards went on to work in Saudi Arabia, a story he shared with many. He also lived in Las Vega as a taxi drive and again shared many stories

Returning to Youngstown he was an outside salesperson selling everything from cars, boats, trailers and truck equipment. His most recent employer was Quality Truck Body & Equipment.

His journey encompassed many paths, He inspired many people - however, it was inevitable that no matter how wonderful the journey through life may be, it will eventually come to an end, and a new journey begins.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Sandy Mitovich-Beam.  Three brothers that he adored - James Beam Sr (Beverly), Ronald Beam, William Beam (Roseann).  Bill added that Don was the best of all of us and we were blessed to be so close for so long.
Sister in-law Deborah Mitovich-McCullough (Flint), Brother in-law Nicholas Mitovich (Joann). Nephews' James Beam Jr, Patrick Beam and Daniel Mitovich (Stacy). Nieces Nicole Mitovich-Pygott (Rich)and Carly Beam. Along with many adoring cousins. His companion dog Buddy Beam.

He is preceded by his parents Barney & Loretta Beam.

Many thanks to all his caregivers over the years. Especially Dr Walter Passarello and staff. Beth Passarello and The Medicine Place staff. St Elizabeth Mercy Health, Cleveland Clinic, The Hope Center and most recent Hospice of the Valley. A special thank you to nurse Flo and Dennis from Hospice for their love and compassion.

Donald, Sandy and the Beam brothers would like all who knew him - family, friends, neighbors and coworkers and ask that you remember what a wonderful man he was.

He lived a great life because of all of you.
