Katherine A Bair

Katherine Andrea Bair, beloved Mother & Bubbe, died peacefully in her home May 30th, 2023. Born May 19th, 1957 to Stella & George Bair, Katherine grew up with a fierce love for humanity & books.  She was a perpetual student who lived her life learning and sharing her love of learning with her family & students during her tenure as a teacher at St. Mary Middle School in Warren, Ohio and Immaculate Conception in Youngstown, Ohio. She found joy in organizing many Bike-A-Thons to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and working at the Boy’s & Girl’s Club of Youngstown, Ohio. Her solace was in nature and passed on her love of camping to her children & grandchildren. Katherine’s greatest love was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents & brother, George Albert. She is survived by her sister, Mary Elizabeth, her four children, Isaac, Elizabeth, Emily & Ann and her 5 grandchildren, Rachael, Carson, Stella, Phillip & Olive who were all her love and her light.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to the Boys & Girls club of Youngstown, Ohio (http://www.bgcy.org/) or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (http://www.stjude.org). May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her!
