Lori Goldstone Mirkin, cherished wife, mother, and grandmother passed away October 30th surrounded by her family, shortly before what would have been her 68th birthday. She was born in 1955 to Allen and Edith Goldstone of Youngstown, along with siblings Susan (Murray Post), Lynn (Oscar McKnight), and Joel.
Lori and husband Alan married in June 1978 and spent nearly every day together since. In addition to Alan, Lori leaves behind her children Kari, Andrew, and Kenneth, daughter-in-law Caitlyn and grandson Archer. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Lori, a lifelong sports fan, had a love-hate relationship with Cleveland sports teams and enjoyed cheering on the Wildcats of University of Arizona, of which she was a 1977 graduate. She attended Liberty High School. She was an active member of El-Emeth Temple Sisterhood and worked as a pharmacy technician at Allen’s Pharmaserv, but her favorite job by far was that of “mom”.
Services will be held at Noon on Thursday, November 2, 2023 in Shriver-Allison-Courtley-Weller-King Funeral Home, where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Anshe Emeth Cemetery on Granada Avenue.
The family would like to thank the staff of Cleveland Clinic and Heritage Manor for providing Lori with unmatched care and comfort following her cancer diagnosis last year.
Donations in Lori’s honor can be made to Heritage Manor, 517 Gypsy Lane, Youngstown, OH. 44504
