Obituary

Philadelphia-

Nomi Hoffman, 44 passed away suddenly Sunday, October 24th due to complications from epilepsy.

Born in Israel April 1, 1977 to Juliette DeVreede Hoffman-Moffie and the late Mitchell Hoffman of Pittsburgh, Nomi was raised on Kibbutz Ein Gev where she developed a passion for working with others, generosity, kindness and the art of verbal communication.

At the age of 11, she moved with her parents and sister Stephanie to Pittsburgh where she went to Taylor Allderdice and graduated from Mt. Lebanon Senior High School.

Nomi loved her large family and traveled many places to spend precious time with them.  Relatives in Israel, Holland, Florida, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Poland, Ohio all got to hear her unique laugh.

Nomi reveled in the occasional tower of the high and mighty, but her admiration and respect was far more inclined to the multitudes.   Sic Transit Gloria Mundi.

Nomi is survived by her loving mother Juliette, who she adored, her step-father Samuel Moffie, sister Stephanie (Daniel), nephew Finley and niece Miley, step-sister Sharon (David, their 4 children), step-brothers Joshua and Jonathan (Veena), many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A service will be held at 3:30pm, Friday, October 29, 2021 in the Poland Riverside Cemetery chapel.

Donations in her name can be sent to American Friends of Yad Eliezer c/o Tropper 410 Glenn Rd, Jackson, NJ 08527
