Millbrae, CA-

Shirley Lynn Allen Solomon passed away on her 86th birthday surrounded by her loving children. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Marvin Solomon, and four siblings, Maxine, Herman, Sidney, and Lilian. She is survived by her sons Randy Solomon (with husband Joe Mallet) and David Solomon (with wife Susie), and by her grandsons Aaron and Ben, her sister-in-law Betty Allen, 24 nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends and family throughout the country.

Born in Wheeling West Virginia, Shirley grew up in Youngstown, Ohio and graduated from The Rayen School. Shortly thereafter she met the love of her life, Marvin. They married in 1956, and raised their two sons. Family and friends meant everything to Shirley and she loved hosting holiday gatherings where even the smallest party was no less than 20 people. She was a member of the Sisterhood at Temple El Emeth and Hadassah.

After Marv passed away, Shirley moved out to the San Francisco Bay Area to be closer to her children and grandchildren. There she helped orchestrate Passover Seders for 50+ family and friends each year. She lived in Rossmoor in Walnut Creek for 17 years and made wonderful friends. She later moved to the Magnolia in Millbrae where she enjoyed her weekly mah-jong.

Shirley had endless pride in her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and followed their lives with great interest and love.

The family wishes to thank the incredible and loving staff at the Magnolia as well as Noel and the staff from GM Staffing.
